Usman Dahiru Runka is a lecturer in the department of Basic Studies, College of Liberal Studies, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic Katsina state.
He obtained his first degree in Political Science from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto in 2004. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree (in Political Science) in the same institution. He attended many National Conferences and presented papers on political party, internal democracy, political corruption, insecurity (with particular emphasis on banditry and kidnappings) and civil society organizations. He held many positions in the department. He was formerly an assistant coordinator Pre-ND Programme (2013-2014); assistant examination officer (2015-2017) and currently serving as examination officer from 2017 to date. He is happly married (to Zainab Muhammad), with seven children.

Asiya Anas is currently pursuing her masters degree in Biology (Parasitology) from Umaru Musa Yaradua University, Katsina. She obtained her first degree in Applied Biology from Bayero University Kano in 2002. Asiya has attended various local and international conferences and has published in reputable local and international journals. She worked with some Government and non-Governmental organizations in research capacity. She joined the service of the polytechnic in the year 2007. She is happily married and blessed with children.

Magajiya Adamu Hassan obtained her first degree in Chemistry from Bayero University Kano in 1991, a postgraduate diploma in Education from Usman Dan-fadio University in 2006 and a master degree in Analytical chemistry from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina in 2019 and currently undergoing P.H.D in Analytical chemistry from the same University. Magajiya has attended many conferences, seminars and workshops both local and international and has published many journals, articles and papers. She has also registered with various professional bodies, such as National Union of Teachers (NUT), Teachers registration council (TRC) and Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN). She has joined the Polytechnic in the year 2007.
