Suleiman Iguda Ladan holds Bachelor of .Arts Honours degree in Geography from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Master’s Degree MSc. in Land Resources (Development) from Bayero University Kano. He joined the Polytechnic as Lecturer III in 1992 and rose to the rank of a Chief Lecturer in the year 2015.He is a seasoned paper presenter at national conferences in Nigeria and international conferences in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, India, United Arab Emirates, Kenya and Turkey. He has published articles in reputed journals in Nigeria and other countries. He has contributed chapters in a festschrift Geography and Sustainable Development and an international book titled Environmental Change and Human Security in Africa and Middle East. He serves as a Reviewer to some journals including online academic journals and also serves as Academic Editor for Asian Journal of Geographical Research and Global Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. His areas of research are in the fields of Agricultural Geography, Biogeography. Environmental management, Gender and security studies, Transport, Tourism and Urban Studies. He is presently the Secretary of the Joint Colleges Conference Committee and Katsina Journal of Science Management and Technology (KAJOSMAT) based at the Polytechnic. He is a member of Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and Asia-Pacific Chemical Biological and Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES).

Aisha Lawal Bagiwa is an indigene of Mani Local Government born in Katsina State Nigeria. She obtained her first degree in B. Sc (Ed) Biology from Umaru Musa Yaradua University Katsina 2012 and her second degree in Science Education (biology option) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in the year 2017. Aisha is a member of professional bodies including Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) and Teachers Research Council of Nigeria (TRCN). She attended both local and international conferences and had publications. She joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in November 2017.

Abdulrahman Ibrahim Khalil received BSc. degree in Physics from the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Katsina, Nigeria(2011). He has been working in the Institution in the present capacity since 2017. He has also been shouldering with some responsibilities of the department with accuracy and competency as Assistant Examination Officer and the past Project Co-ordinator. He worked with the Ministry of Education as a Classroom teacher in two different Secondary Schools, Government College Katsina (Pilot) and Katsina College Katsina (Senior) from the year 2012 to 2017. He obtained a Post- graduate Diploma in Technical Education from Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic by the year 2017.

Jamilu is currently a Staff in the Department of Basic and Applied Science; He was assigned as a Project Coordinator by the Head of Department to Help and Assure that The Student’s Project Work goes Harmoniously up to Completion. He joined the Service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic at the end of the Year 2017. Before He Joined Academic, He was Given an Appointment with Kano Electricity and Distribution Company (KEDCO), Served as a Marketer for almost a Year.
Jamilu Obtained His Master’s Degree in Inorganic Chemistry From Bayero University Kano, Department of Chemistry in the Year, 2017. He Had Also Graduated in the Year, 2012 From Umar Musa Yar’adua University Where He Obtained the Certificate of Bachelor of Science in Pure Chemistry. He was certified as a Computer Literate, a Researcher Interested in Extraction, Synthesis and Characterization of Inorganic Complex Compounds. He Has Supervised Many Projects in the Polytechnic and Has Published Journal articles. He is about to be a Member of Chemical Society of Nigeria. Shamsuddeen Iliyasu was born on 5th june, 1985 in Yandoma town, Ingawa LGA of Katsina state. He is a graduate of chemistry from Usmanu Danfodiyo University sokoto in the year 2006. He further completed his master’s degree in the field of physical chemistry from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University in 2017. He attended Institute of Education Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained his professional diploma in Education in 2010. He started his teaching career when he joined Katsina State Ministry of Education as chemistry teacher at GDSS Yandoma, between 2008 and 2017. ‘Mallam Shamsu’ as popularly known, retired and joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in 2017 in the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences. In addition to imparting knowledge, He focuces his attention in impacting the lives of students both morally and academically. He however, guides and trains students in carrier choice, improved academic performance and their general well-being. He is a computer literate, a researcher with research interest is adsorption and photocatalysis in the field of physical chemistry. He has supervised research projects in the polytechnic and has published journal articles. He attended various workshops and seminars. He is a member Chemical Society of Nigeria, a certified teacher by Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. He is happily married with children.

Muhammad Aminu is a Lecturer in the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences, College of Science and Technology, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, Katsina State. He obtained his BSc Glass Technology in the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Aminu has attended various conferences within the country and has published various articles in reportable local and international Journals. He was the coordinator of Science Education Programme in the Department. He is currently the Examination Officer of the Department. Badiyya Hassan Mashi, a PhD Microbiology holder who specialised in renewable energy technology through anaerobic digestion of biodegradable wastes. Her research interest was on biogas generation, renewable energy generation and waste management. She joined the services of Hassan Usman Katsina polytechnic in the year 1992 and rosed through series of Successful promotions to the rank of a chief lecturer with the Department of Basic and Applied sciences, Hassan Usman Polytechnic, Katsina State, Nigeria. She was also a visiting lecturer with the Department of Microbiology, Umaru Musa Yar’adua University and a visiting research fellow at the University of Greenwich, London, UK in 2014. She has been academically active and has attended many world standard conferences and workshops She has also successfully published in high impact local and international journals. She was appointed as Commissioner and Member of the Katsina State executive council (2016-2019) and was nominated as best Commissioner for Women Affairs in Northern Nigeria, in the year 2017, by Arewa Trusted Youths and Leaders initiative of Nigeria.
Dr Badiyya was also nominated as ‘Best performing Commissioner of the year’ by Awareness for Good Leadership Forum, Katsina State, for the year 2017 and endorsed by the Executive Governor of Katsina State. She was listed in the Guardian Newspaper’s “Nigeria’s 100 most Inspiring Women” in 2018. She also received an award for good Leadership and Advocacy on Women development by United Nigeria Katsina State command. She is also a recipient of Humanitarian service provider of the year award by Federal Medical Centre Katsina State in recognition for her contributions to less privileged women and children patients in 2018, among others. Dr. Badiyya is a fellow institute of management consultants and institute of information and strategy, Nigeria. As part of her contributions towards the development of humanity worked with various Government and non-Governmental organizations. She has registered with various Professional bodies including Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Women in Technical Education(WITED),Nigeria Society for Microbiology (NSM),International Microbiology Society among others. She is married and blessed with five children.

Saifullahi Sani is currently pursuing his MSc in Analytical Chemistry from Federal University Dutsima, Katsina State. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Chemistry (PGDICH) from Kaduna State University, Kaduna, in 2017, Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (HND SLT) with option in Chemistry/ Biochemistry from Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in 2013 and National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (ND SLT) from Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in 2008. He specialized in Laboratory Techniques and Preparation of Laboratory Reagents. Saifullahi has attended workshops on “Safe Use of Chemicals in the Laboratory” and “Application Use and Maintenance of AAS/Flame Photometer and UV/Visible Spectrometer” organized by the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT) and the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT) respectively. He is in charge of the Instrument room, all the Chemistry Laboratories and Chemistry Practicals in the department. He joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in the year 2010. Suraj Abdulkarim is currently pursuing his MSc in Chemistry from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, he obtained a first degree in Applied Chemistry from the prestigious Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto in 2012.
