Yusuf Umaru Kofar Sauri is the currently Head of Mathematics and Statistics Department. He has held various posts in the department and at the College level such as Sectional Head for the Mathematics Section of the department, Coordinator Mathematics Education Programme from 1993 to 1998. Head of department in the then Mathematics and Computer Studies department from 1998 to 2002, Desk Officer Affiliated Programmes, under the affiliation of ABU Zaria from 2008 to 2012, he has also held the position of College Examination Coordinator, CST, from 2017 to 2020. Yusuf is a member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).
He has obtained his current highest academic qualification of B. Ed Mathematics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1988 after obtaining his NCE certificate from COE Kafanchan in 1983. He attended various local Conferences in Yusuf is happily married with one wife and nine children. He was born on 10th April, 1959 and joined the services of the Polytechnic in 1991.

Musa Ibrahim is a Lecturer at Mathematics and Statistics, College of Science and Technology, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He obtained a Bachelor Degree of Science in Statistics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1990. He joined the service of the Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic on 3rd September, 1993 as Assistant Lecturer. He held many positions in this institution, including one time Examination Officer, Coordinator ND Statistics, Head of Statistics Unit, Standing in for Head of Department, Project Coordinator and currently he is a College Examination Co-ordinator (CST). He is happily married and blessed with children.

Abubakar Sadiq Mensah is currently a Chief Lecturer at Mathematics and Statistics Department, College of Science and Technology, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He was formaly Director with Benue State Ministry of Education and after his conversion to Islam which created problems he joined the service of Hassan usman Katsina Polytechnic on 4th November, 2003 as Lecturer I and rose through the ranks and position to Chief Lecturer. Abubakar has fourty Journals and fourty one Conference papers with three international conference papers and a member of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN).
He holds a B. Sc Hons Mathematics/Physics, Diploma in Education 1978 from the Cape Coast University in Ghana and M. Sc Mathematics 1982 from the Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. He is happily married with one wife and seven children. Born on the 20th June, 1958 and has been in the services of the Polytechnic in 2003.

Ibrahimm Hamza Gambo is a Lecturer at Mathematics and statistics Department, College of Science and Technology, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He joined the service of the Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic on 26 October, 1989 as Assistant Lecturer. He obtained a Bachelor Degree of Science in Statistics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zairia in 1987 and Master of Science in Statistics from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto, 2013. He held many positions in this institution, including one Coordinator Statistics Unit, Project Coordinator and currently a Part-Time Co-ordinator. He is happily married and blessed with children.

Aminu Yahaya El-Ladan is a Statistics lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics obtained from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1985. He started lecturing at the Polytechnic in 1986. He teaches core courses of Statistics in the Department at ND and HND levels. He also teaches Statistics courses to students of Engineering. His teaching and research span the areas of Multivariate Statistics, Statistical Theory, Descriptive Statistics, Practical Statistics, Operations Research, Statistical Inference, Survey Designs including Opinion Polls
and writing of Statistical Reports. He authored and co-authored some research papers, he has also analysed data on research works at Postgraduate levels including PhDs. He also teaches students data analysis using relevant Statistical Packages He served as Head, mathematics and Statistics Department from 2007 to 2011 during which period he introduced the five-field students’ registration number currently being used in the Polytechnic. He is a member of Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA), and Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS). He was born on 19th November, 1961. He is married and blessed with nine children.

Salisu Amadu BK is a Lecturer at Mathematics and Statistics Department, College of Science and Technology, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He obtained the following qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Education (Mathematics Education) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Master of Science in Information Technology on 25th October, 2017 from National Open University of Nigeria and he is currently pursuing his Master of Science Degree in Mathematics Education at United Kingdom. He joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic as Assistant Lecturer on 16th June, 1987.He rose through the ranks to his present appointment as Lecturer I with effect from 1st July, 1988. He was born on 2nd January, 1963. He held many positions in the polytechnic including: Examination Officer, Overseer of the affairs of Computer Studies Department. He is happily married with children.

Polytechnic in 2007 through transfer of service from Katsina State Ministry of Education (1990-2007). Registered with various Professional Bodies : Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE), Women in Technical Education(WITED) and Member in Non-Governmental Organizations such as: Parent Teachers Association (PTA Ajiwa), School Base Management Committee (SBMC Ajiwa), Al’usra Marital Support Foundation (AMSF), Coalition of Women and Youth Empowerment Development Initiative (COWYEDI) and Sustainable Socio- Economic Development Initiative (SUSECDEPI). Umar Batsari Yusuf joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in 2008. He obtained his third degree (Ph.D.) in Applied Mathematics at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand in 2019, whereas his first (B.Sc.) and second (M.Sc.) degrees were awarded by Bayero University Kano (B.U.K.) in 2006 and 2013 respectively. He attended several national and international trainings and conferences. He specialized in the area of metric fixed point theory and applications. His numerous publications can be found in reputable national and international journals; he also published some book chapters
and edited some mathematics books. He served as an assistant examination officer for 8 years and currently as project coordinator of the department. He has research collaborations with researchers from Africa, Asia and America. He is a registered member of Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS). He is an editor of Nonlinear Convex Analysis and Optimization: An International Journal on Numerical Computation and Applications. Moreover, he is a reviewer to many mathematical journals at national and international levels.

Abdullahi Sani Charanchi obtained his first degree in B.sc Statistics from Usmanu Danfadiyo University Sokoto in 2005, he is currently pursuing his Msc in statistics in Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, he obtained his Secondary School Certificate from Government College Katsina in 2000, and he obtained his Primary School Certificate from Nasarawa Primary School in 1993. Hali Ibrahim Abba joined the services of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic as an Assistant Lecturer in August, 2015 from School of Pre-Degree and Remedial Studies Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina where he served as Mathematics Tutor. Hali is a graduate of Mathematics from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina. He Obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Technical Education from Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in 2017. He bagged a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University in 2018. Hali has attended various local and international conferences and has published in reputable local and international journals. Hali is a registered member with Mathematics professional bodies including Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS). He is a researcher in the field of operations research with much interest in queuing, inventory theory and data envelopment analysis.

Ahmed Lawal joined the service of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic in 2017. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2012 and he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Statistics from the same institution. His study area of interest is Distribution Theory. Ahmed Lawal is a registered member of Nigerian Statistical Association, Professional Statisticians of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management. He has attended many seminars and conferences and has published several articles in reputable journals and co-authored a book titled “Essential Statistics”. He is one time a Coordinator of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He is happily married.

Bello Yusuf Tsagem is currently a Chief Coputer Technologist at Department of Mathematics and Statistics, college of Science and Technology; he is incharge of Statistics Laboratory. He rose from the post of Computer Programmer when he was employed in 1988 to Chief Computer Technologist. He obtained National Diploma in Statistics and Computer Programming from Katsina Polytechnic and HND Statistics from the same institution. Now he is happily married with many children.
