Born in Dangani town Musawa L.G.A Katsina State, attended Dangani Model Primary School, GDSS Dangani, GSS Funtua, FCE Zaria, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and currently in Makerere University Uganda. He obtained NCE Federal College of      Education Zaria, Bachelor of Library and Information Science BLIS and Master of Library Science MLS from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Diploma in Computer Application Packages from C.T.I Computer Institute Zaria and      currently pursuing Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science at Makerere University Uganda.

He published more than five articles in a peer reviewed journals and presented more than ten papers in a national and international conferences and also attended various national and international workshops and seminars in     Library and Information Science and ICTs. Samaila is also a registered and certified Teacher and Librarian with Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria TRCN and Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria LRCN. His area of research includes ICTs in libraries, information behaviours and many more. He was the immediate past Assistant Coordinator (Marketing and Business) Entrepreneur Development Center of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic. He is also happily married with kids
